Are you or is someone you know coping with trauma/PTSD, anxiety, or serious depression? Is your son or daughter struggling to adjust through the teenage years? Are you struggling in your marriage, going through a divorce, or looking for guidance in establishing a blended family? I am a person-centered therapist and I view the client-therapist relationship to be of the utmost importance in counseling. My approaches include, but are not limited to: Cognitive-Behavioral therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). EMDR is a highly-researched, proven-effective therapy for trauma or negative life experiences which present themselves as anxiety and/or depression in your life. DBT is likewise a highly-researched therapy designed to help you balance change and acceptance as it comes to your emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. As an integrative therapist, I incorporate these specialized therapies into your treatment as we explore your personal challenges and goals.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 8 years of experience in individual and group therapy. My education is extensive with 2 masters degrees and various certifications within the realm of counseling. I was previously contracted as the Lead Counselor for the Accountability Drug Court in Troup County for five years, and I also have experience teaching in regular and alternative high school(s). I have an instinctual ability to build relationships with adolescents and teens and help them to feel at ease in the therapeutic environment. My strong passion and concern for all of my clientele enables us to work as a team producing positive results, including decreasing symptoms of anxiety and depression and establishing a sense of self-worth and peace. One of my goals is to help clients walk through their journey and be able to deal with the pressures of life and find a new sense of hope.

I am excited to share that I am also a Licensed Supervisor in the state of Georgia which allows me to train and supervise those who are seeking a profession in counseling.

I believe every person should be able to live life to the fullest! I teach the skills we all need to overcome unfortunate life circumstances and major challenges, and cope with the stressors of everyday life. If you’ll reach out to me, I would be glad to give you a call to talk about how I can be helpful. 678-644-0039 or
