Live a Life Worth Living

In-person psychotherapy in Alpharetta, Georgia and via online telehealth

I am here, in-person or on televideo, to help you if you may be struggling at times to live the balanced life you want to live. Maybe you are “fighting the good fight” but sometimes not able to manage becoming overwhelmed by thoughts and feelings. You know life isn’t always easy, but perhaps you wonder, “Does it always have to be this hard sometimes?”

Psychotherapy for Adults

Are you seeking therapy for anxiety, depression, bipolar, Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), panic attacks, self-harm, suicidal thoughts or other difficulties regulating emotions?  Are your relationships or your work being affected?

Maybe you are looking for a DBT group or a coping skills class, whether or not you already have an individual therapist.

Feel free to call or message me and ask to schedule a 10-minute consultation at no charge to get an idea of whether I or one of my colleagues could be a fit for you. Everything we do at Balance & Potential Inc begins with an initial intake appointment. We’ll ask you to fill out a History form – whichever questions you want to answer – so that we can start to get to know you and assess how we may be able to help.

DBT Therapy (Dialectical Behavior Therapy)
And Radically Open DBT

You may benefit from one of the two types of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and I can let you know whether I think DBT is a fit for you, and if so, which type. The original, “Marsha Linehan” DBT is in its Second Edition now, and I am Intensively Trained. I am also trained and experienced in a new generation of DBT – I have completed RO DBT Therapist training and RO Skills class training — and I can assess whether individual therapy and/or a DBT group or RO DBT class can meet your needs. I will explain why I recommend what I recommend. If you have other providers, I would be happy to talk with them with your consent.

Therapy for Adolescents and Teenagers

Are you looking for therapy for a teenager who has anxiety, depression, panic, self-harm, cutting, or suicidal thoughts? We have a full program of services for teens, available both in-person in Alpharetta, Georgia and online via telehealth.

Maybe your teen has been referred for a group or a coping skills class, whether they already have an individual therapist or not. We are here to serve.

Play Therapy for Children

Children can also benefit from our therapy and counseling services in our fully stocked play therapy room. We use engaging techniques, games, art, and activities for children needing therapy. Our clients may struggle with overwhelming emotions that have led to urges to harm themselves or others, difficulty getting to school, or trouble making and keeping friends. Contact us to begin talking about your child and hearing how we can help. We offer a free, 10-minute consultation.

Emotion Regulation Anxiety Depression

Let’s talk about the life you want – the life you love living – and what you value. You’ll learn how to skillfully navigate the more difficult moments. Together we can bring more peace, happiness, and joy into your daily living.

To help you decide if I might be a fit as your psychologist, you may contact me or my assistant at 678-644-0039 or info@BalanceAndPotential.com. If you use insurance, my service is reimbursable out-of-network. I look forward to hearing from and working with you.
