When you are a parent of a struggling teen, you often find yourself asking what you can do to help to make them feel better. Sometimes you can feel helpless, or like you tried it all and you do not know what to do next. Their personality is different, they are making impulsive decisions and you worry things might get worse. Reaching out to a therapist may be a difficult decision to make. You could be worrying that you are not finding someone that connects with your teen and keeps you in the loop with care.

Imagine both you and your teen feeling better and reaching out to each other when something is on your minds. Imagine your teen feeling better about themselves and speaking up when they have something stressful weighing on them. Imagine an open door between you and your teen.

In an effort to get your teen back on track, I specialize in depression, anxiety, mood dysregulation, anger management, family conflict, divorce, behavioral difficulties, school performance issues and social skills, including peer conflict, and bullying. I also co-lead several adult and adolescent DBT skills classes offered with Balance & Potential Inc.

For my adult clients, therapeutic issues typically focus on depression, anxiety, anger management, interpersonal relationship concerns, and stress management.

To accommodate busy families, I offer evening and Saturday appointments, in addition to mornings and afternoons. We will work together as a team to build a customized plan to get your teen back on track. I believe in a cooperative therapeutic environment that is safe, warm, and welcoming for both my teen and adult clients. Together we will reach your goals and find a path to success.
